
Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid
This qualification is suitable for the person who requires specific first aid training that contains additional illness and injury content (common medical emergencies and casualty damage) to that found on a typical one day EFAW course.

Qualification Structure
This qualification is built from 2 mandatory units of assessment.One unit normally taught per day, modular and progressive practical training.
Passing both units leads to the ITC Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid
Course Duration
2 - days (normally 2 x 6+ hour days). It can be delivered in any reasonable combination of hours e.g. 2 hours per week at a night class.
Delivery
MWS staff are experienced professional trainer/assessors with an active professional interest in First Aid training. The trainer/assessors delivering this course are active practitioners in their activity of choice in their own leisure time, with experience and commitment to working with groups. Courses are delivered throughout the UK by the MWS team.

Revalidation
This qualification 'license to practice' is revalidated by successful completion of another Level 2 Activity First Aid course within 3 years.
For those who have an EFAW qualification to meet statutory workplace regulations, the HSE strongly recommend that annual Basic Skills Refresher (3 hours) is undertaken.
