First Aid Trainer & PTLLS - First Aid training business

1.  First Aid Instructor Training, First Aid Trainer Training, First Aid Business Start up

A successful ITC approved First Aid training business requires:

  1. ITC Business Approval (approved by recognised, credible certificating organisation)
  2. ITC Accredited Trainer status
  3. Accredited Trainers should hold a current 3-day First Aid at Work certificate
  4. Accredited Trainers should hold an adult education qualification (PTLLS is current threshold minimum standard)

Finding the course that is tailord to your needs depends upon what qualifications and experience you already possess.

Modular Programme
We provide a 6-day programme consisting of training contact time, mentored consolidation of skills and knowledge, followed by verifiably demonstrating competence.  This programme is designed for you to quickly succeed in delivering quality, recognised training.

If you are new to first aid training and wish to run a training business, 1 - 4 above, then you should attend:

  • 5 days + 1 day observed delivery + PTLLS assignments

If you have a suitable teaching qualification and wish to set up a business, gain a FAW qualification, and become an accredited trainer, 1-3 above, then you should attend:

  • 3 days + 1 day observed delivery

If you have a teaching qualification, a first aid at work certificate wish to set up a business and become an accredited trainer, 1-2 above, then you should attend:

  • 2 days + 1 day observed delivery

If you have a business and wish to employ current accredited trainers, 1 above, then you should attend:

  • 2 days

2.  General PTLLS Programme

For many training organisations staff require PTLLS qualifications.  We have done, and enjoy delivering, PTLLS that is not contextualised and mapped to the First Aid training industry.  Contact us directly to discuss this generic 5-day programme.

 

PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector) is the minimum standard threshold qualification for all those wishing to teach in the lifelong learning sector. It is the necessary level for those wishing to deliver accredited qualifications in Further Education.

We deliver PTLLS intergrated into a First Aid Trainers course (1) or as a general stand alone qualification (2)

We are especially well know for providing business support for those in the Outdoor training and active Sports sector who wish to deliver statutory, recognised and credible first aid training tailored to their working environment.
