This practical style training is strongly recommended by the HSE for all who have completed a statutory 3-day First Aid at Work; a statutory 2-day First Aid at Work Revalidation; or a statutory 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
It may be used maintain an annual 'license to practice' for any ITC first aid qualification, however the full qualification must be re-validated after 3 years.
Delivery
Is delivered by MWS approved trainers as they are able to demonstrate current competence in relation to first aid skills and teaching and are familiar with the current standards HSE accepts for the first aid management of injuries and illness in the workplace.
MWS Trainers will come to your venue if your group requires this training. We normally charge £200 + vat for the trainer visit. There is no realistic limit to the number of candidates that can be refreshed.
Content of annual refresher course
Candidates should demonstrate their competence to:
* Assess the situation in an emergency;
* Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure);
* Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR);
* Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding;
* Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.
